It is not always the clothes worn, the neighborhood lived in or the food eaten; the one thing divulging most about a person is his or her watch. And if there is much to be said, then Tissot watches say it best.
Tissot is a company based in Switzerland that has been making watches since 1853. Unlike many modern brands, Tissot has had time to hone the quality and precision of its watches. Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile founded the company in 1853 hoping to create precision watches. By 1930, the company began series production and the rest, as they say, was history.
Tissot Heritage 150 Limited Edition
The Heritage 150 Limited Edition watch was launched in 2003 to commemorate 150 years of precision watchmaking. The watch was inspired by one of the most celebrated Tissot watches from December 1946. It is an incredible combination of design from 1853 and technical functionality from the 21st century. The Heritage 150 Limited Edition is only available in 8,888 limited-numbered watches in stainless steel, 1853 in steel/gold, 1853 in gold and 150 in platinum.
Each watch comes with an engraved oscillation weight marking the founding of the Tissot watch in 1853 and the commemorative release date in 2003. This wrist watch also features lug design, counters at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, a date window and a tachometer. With this sort of attention to detail and appreciation for heritage and technology, the Tissot Company will be in business for another 150 years.
Tissot Seastar
The Tissot Seastar collection consists of two categories of diving watches. The first category is the Seastar 1000. It features ETA movement, a domed sapphire crystal, which is virtually impervious to scratching, and 42-hour power reserve. The watch also is capable of handling depths of up to 1,000 feet under water. This watch is preferred by divers across the globe because it performs dynamically well and can withhold up to 300 meters of water.
The second category is the Tissot Seastar 660 quartz watches. These watches actually are quite similar to the Tissot 1000 series, except the sapphire crystal is not domed and it is water-resistant to depths off 660 feet.
Pocket Watches
In addition to the wrist watch, Tissot Swiss Watches also manufacture a variety of pocket watches and ball watches.
